Fish Chowder

Peel, cut and chop 2 lb. potatoes into cubes.
Cook potatoes in 6 cups water  for 25 minutes and save water.

Saute in 6 T. butter:

2 onions
1-2 pkg. celery


the water from above with the potatoes
2 lb. white fish
1/2-1tsp. salt
1/2-1 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. thyme

Add 2 cups of light cream.
