Mexican Pies

Prepare crusts for two double crusted pies.

Saute and drain 2 lb. hamburg.

Add and mix together in a large bowl:

2 1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. oregano
3/8 tsp. pepper
5 T. dried breadcrumbs
2 1/2 cups salsa
2 oz. tomato paste in 2/3 cup water

Chop and add:

1 large green pepper
1 large onion

Divide filling between 2 crusts. Bake at 425 for 15 min. then reduce oven to 350 for 45 min. or until browned.

This pie freezes well. Thaw before baking.
