Irish Lamb Stew

Filet 3 lb. boneless leg of lamb into 1'4 inch slabs.
Slice 2-3 large onions.
Peel and scallop 5 lb. potatoes at 1/4 inch

Layer potatoes then onions then meat: salt and pepper and repeat, ending with a third layer of potatoes.

Dissolve 1/4 cup chicken base in 5 cups boiling water with:

1 tsp. rosemary
1 tsp. thyme
1 tsp. savory
1/4 cup chopped parsley

Pour over the layers and add 3 bay leaves.

Cover and bake at 350 for 90 minutes.
