Slice 1 1/2lb. steak into 1/8 in. strips.
Saute steak strips in 2 T. butter until starts to froth.
1 cup + 3 T. beef bouillion (Make 1 1/3 cups and save 1/3 cup for later)
2 T. catsup ( or tomato paste plus 1 T. brown sugar)
1 clove garlic, minced
1 t. salt
Heat to boiling.
Cover and simmer for 1 - 1/2 hrs.
8 oz. mushrooms (small button as whole or sliced larger ones)
1/2 cup onion
Cook for 5 minutes.
Shake the one third cup bouillion with 3T. flour.
Gradually add it to the beef and boil it 1 minute.
Reduce heat and serve over noodles, tossed with butter and poppy seeds if desired.
