Classic Brownies

Toast 1 cup nuts; set aside for top.

In double boiler, melt:

12 T. unsalted butter with 6 oz. unsweetened chocolate

Pour into bowl and gradually whisk in 2 1/4 cups sugar

Whisk in 4 large eggs, one at a time

Sift together and fold into chocolate etc.

1 1/4 cups cake flour

1/2 tsp. salt

3/4 tsp. baking powder

Line a 9 by 13 inch baking pan with foil sprayed with spray of oil

Bake at 325 for 30 to 35 minutes.  Cool on a rack for a couple of hours before lifting out of baking dish on foil.
