Prepare crust for 9 or 10 in.double crusted pie.
1/3 cup flour
3/4 cup white sugar
3 T. brown sugar
orange rind, optional
Mix half of the above with 4 1/5 cups rhubarb, cut in one inch pieces.
Spread other half of mix on bottom crust in pie pan.
Top with rhubarb mix.
Place in 1 cup halved strawberries or raspberries.
Top with small chunks of butter.
Top with crust. Slit crust for steam to escape.
Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar.
Place on a cookie sheet to catch drippings.
Bake at 425 for 15 min. then reduce oven to 350 for 45 minutes, or until juices from pie are thick when they run.
