Judi's Almond Pastry Tart

Cut together:

1 cup flour
1/2 cup butter

Add and mix 2 T. cold water.

Round into a ball. Divide in half. On an ungreased cookie sheet , pat it into 12 by 3 strips, and keep 3 in. apart, or,
pat entire dough over surface of a round pizza pan to make one large danish.

In saucepan, bring to boil:

1/2 cup butter
1 cup water

Stir in:

1 tsp. almond extract
1 cup flour

Add 3 eggs, one at a time, beating until smooth.

Spread over the previous dough.

Bake at 350 for 60 min. or until it looks crispy and brown.

Cool before frosting with a white butter almond frosting.
