Standard Pie Crust

Measure:

2 2/3 cup flour (some pastry makes a flakier crust)
1 tsp. salt

Cut in 1 cup shortening. (can substitute some butter)

Add 7-8 T.(up to 1/2 cup) ice water, a little at a time, until dough holds together.

Chill one hour before rolling onto lightly floured board.

Recipe yields two 10 inch single crusts or plenty for a double crusted 9 in. pie.
