We don't accept the story that went around the web about someone paying top dollar from Nieman Marcus for the recipe, and that in revenge they spread the recipe around on the Internet . We include the recipe however,since they are a house favorite.

Blend 2 1/2 cups oatmeal to a fine powder.

Cream:

1 cup butter
2 1/2 cups white sugar
1 cup brown sugar

Add

2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix together with:

2 cups flour
powdered oats
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda

Fold in :

12 oz. chocolate chips
4 oz. choc. candy bar grated
1 1/2 cups chopped nuts

Roll into balls or scoop

Yield 56 cookies. Bake at 10 min. for 375.
