Coconut Macaroons

Heat in a double boiler:

2 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 lb. macaroon short coconut
3 oz. corn syrup
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 T. pastry flour
3/4 tsp. salt
11 egg whites, beaten

Scoop on to cookie sheets.
Place a maraschino cherry in the center.

Bake at 375 for 10 minutes or until toasted on sides and bottoms.
