Pour 1 1/2 cups boiling water over 1 cup rolled oats.
Add 3 T. butter and let stand for 30 min.
3/4 cups molasses
2 tsp. salt
When the above mixture is at room temperature, pour it into the mixer, and dissolve 1 T. dry active yeast in 2 cups water for 10 minutes.
With dough hook or by hand, knead in 8 cups flour at once, 6-8 minutes.
Add more flour as necessary.
Divide dough for two loaves
Place each in greased bowls, turning dough to coat all around.
Cover and let rise until doubled in bulk
Turn onto board and knead again.
Divide into 2 loaves and bake for 35 min. at 350.
